TFL Review Summary

There is no doubt about it; there are a lot of budget Turkish-made shotguns out there. Does Wimberley stand out from the others? The S12 appeared to be a solid shotgun that shot very well. We enjoyed the S12 and found it was a good gun for the money. The trigger was one of the only things we weren't a fan of. With a pull weight of around 7 lbs and a fair amount of pretravel, the trigger gave us some issues when it came to shooting super fast, but on a standard target, it shot just fine. If you are looking for a general hunting/clay gun, this could be an option worth considering. We like Wimberley's personality through their brand and look forward to testing out more of their shotguns in the future.

Manufacturer Summary

Introducing the S12 Field: Wimberley’s hydro-dipped camouflage variant of our renowned S12. This model combines the same weather-resistant polymer furniture, polished flat lifter, and a finely tuned gas system that excels with heavy loads while remaining versatile enough for 1oz loads.*

Perfect for any field scenario, the S12 Field is your ideal companion for those hunting adventures. Imagine yourself in a field, surrounded by game, with the S12 Field in hand. Fast forward to a triumphant moment, beaming with pride, a truck bed brimming with birds, and the smoke still rising from your S12 Field. This is what this shotgun was crafted for.

*We share your dislike for asterisks, so here’s the scoop: we recommend 1 1/8oz loads as the minimum for optimal performance, though after break in, the S12 Field has reliably handled thousands of 1oz rounds. Keep in mind, different brands might vary, and while we can’t guarantee 1oz performance, we’re confident in the S12 Field’s versatility.
