TFL Review Summary

The Fabarm Elos 2 Elite is a steel-receiver over/under built with upgraded wood, a color-case hardened finish, and gold inlays that stand out without feeling overdone. Available in 12 and 20 gauge with 28" or 30" barrels, it features a 14 5/8" length of pull and comes with five Inner HP flush chokes. The 20-gauge model tested weighed in at 6 lbs 5.7 oz — lighter than Fabarm’s published spec — and delivered a well-balanced feel in the hands. Other notable details include clean checkering, a slim schnabel forend, a single silver front bead, and mechanical triggers that averaged around 4.5 lbs in testing.

On the range, the Elos 2 Elite showed smooth handling and very manageable recoil for its weight class. Compared directly to the lighter Elos D2, the Elite offered less muzzle jump and a noticeably softer, more controlled shot. The stock design, round-body receiver, and overall balance made it easy to mount and quick to transition between targets. Build quality inside and out was clean, with solid lockup and well-fitted ejectors. Pros include excellent fit and finish, soft recoil, balanced handling, and a crisp trigger. The only notable limitation mentioned was that shooters who prefer ultralight upland guns might find the steel-frame Elite slightly heavier than alloy alternatives.
