TFL Review Summary
The Blaser F16 Sporting is designed as an approachable entry point into the Blaser shotgun lineup while still delivering the precision engineering and build quality the brand is known for. With its excellent Turkish walnut stock, comfortable palm swell, and well-balanced feel between the hands, the F16 mounts naturally and handles smoothly. The mechanical trigger breaks cleanly at around four pounds, and the adjustable trigger position allows shooters to fine-tune finger placement. Features like the adjustable stock weight system and removable firing pin faceplate show that Blaser designed the F16 not only for performance but also for long-term usability and serviceability.
On the range, the F16 impressed with its smooth swing and moderate recoil, especially considering it is one of the lighter guns in the Blaser lineup. Even with standard one-ounce loads, the recoil impulse felt controlled and comfortable. The gun tracked targets well and felt intuitive to shoot, making it a strong option for sporting clays shooters looking for a high-quality over/under in the mid-tier price range. While it lacks the modularity and customization options of the higher-end Blaser F3, the F16 still delivers a premium shooting experience and serves as a solid introduction to the Blaser brand.
